3. How much can I get?

The amount you can get depends on your individual circumstances

The only way to know exactly how much you'll get is to apply but you could get up to €3,000. The loan is paid in Euros. Check who is eligible to receive this loan.

The contribution amount is set by your university or college but the maximum they can charge is €3,000 each year. You are able to request to borrow any amount up to the amount charged by your university or college to help pay for some or all of this cost.

Exchange rate information

The agreed exchange rate for the 2025 to 2026 academic year is 0.8483, this means the maximum you can borrow in Sterling is £2,544. The exchange rate is agreed for all applications for the academic year and is not variable.
