The following finance options are used to help pay the costs of your course as set by your university or college. These are paid directly to your university or college on your behalf.

This is funding to help pay for the everyday costs of being a student, paid directly to you.

- If it's based on your household income you could borrow more

- Non repayable grant
- Is based on your household income
- Could reduce the amount of Maintenance Loan you need to borrow

Special Support Grant

- Is based on your household income
- Is paid on top of your Maintenance Loan

Extra help
Additional funding to help students in various circumstances, such as students with a disability or long-term health condition, or to help pay additional costs for childcare.

- For additional costs related to a disability or long-term health condition

Childcare Grant
- Non repayable grant
- Helps with the costs of approved childcare whilst you're in study

Adult Dependants' Grant
- Non repayable grant
- Additional funding if you're financially responsible for another adult during your studies

Parents' Learning Allowance
- Non repayable grant
- Additional funding if you're financially responsible for any children during your studies

Travel Grant
- Non repayable grant
- Helps with travel costs for eligible study related periods abroad or medical and dental placement courses
