Disabled Students' Allowance Part-time undergraduate, tuition fee and living cost students

3. How much can I get?

The amount of Disabled Students' Allowance you can get depends on your individual needs

The only way to know exactly how much you'll get is to apply.

You'll be asked to attend a Study Needs Assessment

This assessment is held at an approved assessment centre and helps us understand your individual needs, so we can work out which Disabled Students Allowance you can get, and how much.

How much is available in 2024/25 and 2023/24?

You could get up to £25,000 each year. This can be used to cover the costs of specialist equipment, a non-medical helper and more general costs you may have.

There's also a travel allowance available to cover any study related costs you may have due to your disability. This is assessed on a case by case basis.
