Introducing the new Student Finance NI website13 April 2018
You’ll have no doubt noticed a few changes to the Student Finance NI site. We’ve been working hard over the last year to develop and design the structure and content of the site to help you find the information you need.
Here’s a few highlights of the new site.
We’ve added a notifications bar to the site, similar to notifications on your smartphone. So when there’s an important update or applications open for the year you’ll be ‘notified’ as soon as you hit the site.
Looking for specific information about the types of finance available to you?
If you’re able to tell us a few important things about you and your course you can find out what types of finance you can apply for. These pages break down each type of finance available explaining: what it’s for, how much you could get, how to apply and more the types of student and course that can get the funding.
This area of the site takes the student’s journey with Student Finance NI and breaks it down into key stages, providing articles for each. It’ll help you understand what happens and when, as well as the key roles and responsibilities involved in reach stage.
We have articles about important things to know before you apply through to repaying your student loan.
We’ve completely reworked the forms area of the site. Select the academic year you’re applying for and your level of study to view all downloadable forms available to you.
This areas now focuses on the key tasks or needs that parents or partners may have including improved information about supporting an application and a specific forms area.
The website have been designed and developed with the needs of people with disability in mind. This includes people with sight loss, hearing, mobility and cognitive impairments as well as use on multiple devices.
Responsive design for mobile users
The new site has been built with mobile in mind, so however you choose to use the site you’ll get the best possible experience. We’ll continue to make further improvements across the site so check back regularly to see what’s new!Last modified: 10 July 2018
