Student Finance Calculator

If you are from Northern Ireland and are thinking of going to college or university in academic year 2012/13 or 2011/12, the Student Finance Calculator will provide you with a tailored estimate of the financial support you could receive.

The calculator gives an estimate of what's available for student loans, grants and scholarships and bursaries from your place of study.

The estimate is based on the information you give, so the more detail you can provide the more accurate the estimate will be.

If you've studied an HND, HNC or foundation course in the past

If you have already completed an HND or similar level course you will not usually be offered a Tuition Fee Loan and Maintenance Grant to study year one of a degree course. The amount you get may be different from the amount shown in your estimate.

Contact your local ELB for additional information.

Republic of Ireland courses

Unfortunately the calculator does not provide estimates for courses in the Republic of Ireland. Please see the Frequently Asked Questions section of the website for details of the support available to students studying in ROI.

Please note that the estimate you receive is not an offer of support. Once you submit an application you may need to provide supporting evidence: we will tell you what this is when you make your application.

Select 'Create a new estimate' for the academic year you will be starting your course in.

Or, to retrieve an estimate that you have previously created, select 'Access a saved estimate'.
